Uposatha Sīla Yācanā – Request for the Eight Precepts
ឧបោសថសីល គឺជាការសមាទានសីល ៨ ដែលពុទ្ធបរិស័ទតែងប្រតិបត្តិនៅថ្ងៃឧបោសថ និងក្នុងឱកាសពិសេសផ្សេងៗ ដើម្បីបង្កើនការប្រតិបត្តិធម៌ និងការរក្សាសីលឱ្យកាន់តែខ្ជាប់ខ្ជួន។
ក្នុងពិធីនេះ ពុទ្ធបរិស័ទសូមសីលចំពោះព្រះសង្ឃ ដើម្បីសមាទានព្រះត្រៃសរណគមន៍ និងឧបោសថសីលដែលប្រកបដោយអង្គ ៨ សម្រាប់យកទៅប្រតិបត្តិ និងរក្សាដោយសេចក្តីមិនប្រមាទ។
Uposatha Sīla is the practice of undertaking the Eight Precepts, traditionally observed by lay Buddhists on Uposatha days and other special occasions devoted to Dhamma practice.
In this recitation, devotees respectfully ask the monk to administer the Eight Precepts together with the Three Refuges, making a commitment to observe them carefully as part of their spiritual practice.
១. Roman Pāli — បាលីជាអក្សរឡាតាំង
Okāsa,
Mayaṃ bhante visuṃ visuṃ rakkhaṇatthāya tisaraṇena saha aṭṭhaṅgasamannāgataṃ uposathaṃ yācāma.
Dutiyampi mayaṃ bhante visuṃ visuṃ rakkhaṇatthāya tisaraṇena saha aṭṭhaṅgasamannāgataṃ uposathaṃ yācāma.
Tatiyampi mayaṃ bhante visuṃ visuṃ rakkhaṇatthāya tisaraṇena saha aṭṭhaṅgasamannāgataṃ uposathaṃ yācāma.
Anuggahaṃ katvā sīlaṃ detha no bhante.

បពិត្រព្រះករុណាដ៏ចម្រើន សូមព្រះករុណាមេត្តាធ្វើនូវសេចក្ដីអនុគ្រោះ ឱ្យនូវសីលដល់ខ្ញុំព្រះករុណាទាំងឡាយ ជាគម្រប់ពីរដងផង ជាគម្រប់បីដងផង។

With your permission, Venerable Sir.
Venerable Sir, we respectfully request the Uposatha observance consisting of the Eight Precepts, together with the Three Refuges, so that each of us may undertake and observe them.
For the second time, Venerable Sir, we respectfully request the Uposatha observance consisting of the Eight Precepts, together with the Three Refuges, so that each of us may undertake and observe them.
For the third time, Venerable Sir, we respectfully request the Uposatha observance consisting of the Eight Precepts, together with the Three Refuges, so that each of us may undertake and observe them.
Out of compassion, Venerable Sir, please grant us the Precepts.

The Eight Precepts are a more intensive form of Buddhist practice than the Five Precepts commonly observed in daily life. They are traditionally undertaken on Uposatha days or during periods dedicated to meditation, Dhamma practice and spiritual reflection.
