អត្ថន័យជាភាសាខ្មែរ

ឥតិបិសោ ភគវា អរហំ — ព្រះដ៏មានព្រះភាគអង្គនោះ ទ្រង់ព្រះនាមថា អរហំ ព្រោះព្រះអង្គឆ្ងាយចាកសឹកសត្រូវ ពោលគឺកិលេស ព្រមទាំងវាសនា គឺកាយបយោគ និងវចីបយោគ។

សម្មាសម្ពុទ្ធោ — ទ្រង់ព្រះនាមថា សម្មាសម្ពុទ្ធោ ព្រោះព្រះអង្គត្រាស់ដឹងនូវញេយ្យធម៌ទាំងពួងដោយប្រពៃចំពោះព្រះអង្គ ឥតមានគ្រូអាចារ្យណាប្រដៅព្រះអង្គឡើយ។

វិជ្ជាចរណសម្បន្នោ — ទ្រង់ព្រះនាមថា វិជ្ជាចរណសម្បន្នោ ព្រោះព្រះអង្គបរិបូរណ៍ដោយវិជ្ជា ៣ និងវិជ្ជា ៨ និងចរណៈ ១៥។

សុគតោ — ទ្រង់ព្រះនាមថា សុគតោ ព្រោះព្រះអង្គមានដំណើរល្អ យាងទៅកាន់សុន្ទរស្ថាន គឺអមតៈមហានិព្វាន។

លោកវិទូ — ទ្រង់ព្រះនាមថា លោកវិទូ ព្រោះព្រះអង្គជ្រាបច្បាស់នូវត្រៃលោក។

អនុត្តរោ — ទ្រង់ព្រះនាមថា អនុត្តរោ ព្រោះព្រះអង្គប្រសើរដោយសីលាទិគុណ រកបុគ្គលណាមួយស្មើគ្មាន។

បុរិសទម្មសារថិ — ទ្រង់ព្រះនាមថា បុរិសទម្មសារថិ ព្រោះព្រះអង្គជាអ្នកទូន្មាននូវបុរសដែលមានឧបនិស្ស័យគួរនឹងទូន្មានបាន។

សត្ថា ទេវមនុស្សានំ — ទ្រង់ព្រះនាមថា សត្ថា ទេវមនុស្សានំ ព្រោះព្រះអង្គជាសាស្តាចារ្យនៃទេវតា និងមនុស្សទាំងឡាយ។

ពុទ្ធោ — ទ្រង់ព្រះនាមថា ពុទ្ធោ ព្រោះព្រះអង្គត្រាស់ដឹងនូវចតុរារិយសច្ច ហើយញ៉ាំងអ្នកដទៃឱ្យត្រាស់ដឹងផង។

ភគវា — ទ្រង់ព្រះនាមថា ភគវា ព្រោះព្រះអង្គមានដំណើរទៅកាន់ត្រៃភពខ្ជាក់ចោលហើយ គឺថា ព្រះអង្គមិនត្រឡប់កើតទៀតឡើយ។

តំ អរហាទិគុណសំយុត្តំ ពុទ្ធំ សិរសា នមាមិ — ខ្ញុំព្រះករុណាសូមថ្វាយបង្គំនូវព្រះសម្មាសម្ពុទ្ធជាម្ចាស់ ព្រះអង្គប្រកបព្រមហើយដោយគុណ មានគុណថា អរហំ ជាដើមនោះ ដោយសិរសាគឺត្បូង។

តញ្ច ពុទ្ធំ ឥមេហិ សក្ការេហិ អភិបូជយាមិ — ខ្ញុំព្រះករុណាសូមបូជាចំពោះនូវព្រះសម្មាសម្ពុទ្ធជាម្ចាស់នោះ ដោយគ្រឿងសក្ការៈទាំងឡាយមានប្រមាណប៉ុណ្ណេះ។

English Meaning

Iti pi so Bhagavā Arahaṃ — The Blessed One is called Arahaṃ (the Worthy One) because he is completely free from the enemies of the mind—the defilements—and from the habitual tendencies associated with bodily and verbal conduct.

Sammāsambuddho — He is called Sammāsambuddho (the Perfectly Self-Enlightened One) because he realized all that is to be known perfectly by himself, without being instructed by a teacher.

Vijjācaraṇasampanno — He is called Vijjācaraṇasampanno (Perfect in Knowledge and Conduct) because he is fully endowed with true knowledge and perfect conduct.

Sugato — He is called Sugato (the Well-Gone One) because his path is good and he has gone to the sublime state of the Deathless, the supreme Nibbāna.

Lokavidū — He is called Lokavidū (Knower of the Worlds) because he fully understands the three worlds.

Anuttaro — He is called Anuttaro (the Incomparable One) because no being is his equal in virtue and other excellent qualities.

Purisadammasārathi — He is called Purisadammasārathi (Trainer of Those Who Can Be Trained) because he guides and disciplines those who possess the conditions necessary to be taught.

Satthā Devamanussānaṃ — He is called Satthā Devamanussānaṃ (Teacher of Devas and Humans) because he is the supreme teacher of celestial beings and human beings.

Buddho — He is called Buddho (the Awakened One) because he realized the Four Noble Truths and leads others towards their realization.

Bhagavā — He is called Bhagavā (the Blessed One) because he has completely abandoned the cycle of existence and will never again return to rebirth.

Taṃ arahādiguṇasaṃyuttaṃ Buddhaṃ sirasā namāmi — I bow my head in homage to the Buddha, who is endowed with these excellent qualities beginning with Arahaṃ.

Tañca Buddhaṃ imehi sakkārehi abhipūjayāmi — I honour and make offerings to that Buddha with these offerings of reverence.
